When did it come out, and where?

KONAMI's release date was September 24, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and for PC through Steam and Epic Games Store, and the Steam launch notice went up that day. Digital Deluxe buyers were offered 48 hours of early access before it; that window ended at launch. Steam's listing can show September 23 instead, because storefront dates follow the viewer's time zone — KONAMI's stated date is September 24.

What are the PC system requirements?

Steam lists the following, read on October 11, 2026. Both tiers need a 64-bit processor, Windows 11, DirectX 12 and 75 GB of storage. Epic's listing was still showing detailed requirements as TBA when last read on September 19, 2026.

Does it run on Steam Deck?

Valve's compatibility rating on October 11, 2026 is Unsupported, with graphics performance given as the reason. The store page lists Windows only.

What does the PS5 version use?

PlayStation's official announcement references DualSense haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, controller speaker use and motion-control interactions. These are presentation and control features, not evidence of platform-exclusive story content. Before starting, it is worth checking the installed version, subtitle and audio options, brightness calibration, controller speaker volume and motion-control comfort.

How was it received?

On October 11, 2026 Metacritic listed a Metascore of 80 for PS5 from more than 90 critic reviews and 80 for PC from 35, with a user score of 7.1 from 666 ratings. Steam showed Mixed on the same day: 3,957 of 5,781 user reviews were positive, which is 68%. Both readings move over time, so treat them as dated snapshots.

What has been patched since launch?

Patch 1.3.1 on September 30 reduced stuttering caused by shader precompilation. Patch 1.4.0 on October 8 eased stealth and combat, clarified two Part 6 puzzles and fixed a progress blocker in Part 5; after it, the PC main menu shows v1.5.154194. The full change list is on the patch notes page.
