Big Walk Platforms: Steam, Mac, PS5 & Switch 2
On this page
Which platforms is Big Walk on?
| Platform | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Windows (Steam) | Supported | App 1478500; the reference listing for PC price and reviews |
| Mac | Supported | Check which storefront supplied your copy — the App Store version joins by join code, not a Game Center friends list |
| PlayStation 5 | Supported | Friends join from the friends / active games list or with a join code |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Supported | A different purchase target from the original Switch, which is not supported |
| Xbox | Not supported | Not on the supported-platform list and not announced |
| PS4 | Not supported | Not on the supported-platform list and not announced |
| Nintendo Switch (original) | Not supported | Do not confuse it with the Switch 2 version |
Is an Xbox or PS4 version coming?
Neither is an announced supported version in the official availability answer checked on October 8, 2026, and the FAQ says no other platforms are currently planned. Treat an Xbox or PS4 release-date claim as unconfirmed unless the developer or an official store publishes it — this page does not predict ports. Before a group purchase, ask each person to name their exact platform rather than just saying "console" or "Switch": a cheaper listing is not useful if the intended player cannot run that version.
One copy per player, on that player's platform
Crossplay is about joining a session from different supported systems; a purchase entitlement is controlled by the store. Do not assume that buying on one storefront gives you another edition for free — crossplay is not cross-buy. The official site links each platform's store; verify platform, currency, account region and the product name together before paying, and check the store's gifting rules if buying for a friend.
Mixed-platform groups
If your group has a mix of supported and unsupported devices, resolve that before comparing prices. For everyone on supported systems, the crossplay guide covers the version-matching rule, and the join code page covers actually meeting up — the host starts first, whichever platform they are on.
